Patch is an alias used by the Marvel Comics character James "Logan" Howlett, better known as Wolverine. He adopted this persona while operating undercover in Madripoor, a lawless island nation in Southeast Asia.
The Patch disguise primarily consisted of an eyepatch over his left eye, along with a more casual wardrobe. His intent was to conceal his true identity from enemies and maintain a lower profile.
Despite the seemingly simple disguise, it was surprisingly effective, partly due to Wolverine's enhanced healing factor which allowed him to quickly recover from any injuries that might have exposed his true identity. Also, people didn't always suspect the notorious Wolverine would be hiding in plain sight.
As Patch, Logan operated as a bar owner and information broker, allowing him to gather intelligence and maintain connections within the Madripoor underworld. He often partnered with other characters like Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman) and Archie Corrigan during his time in this role.
